History of Posten The efforts to develop the CNCGRD (Concrete Girder) program began in 1967 by Hugh O'Neil, Structural Engineer. This work was further developed into Posten, written in 1971, for the design of Post Tensioned concrete slabs and beams. In 1976, Posten was updated to handle metric units. Hugh was a prolific programmer, and wrote many other programs for use in Structural engineering. Company Overview - After the death of Hugh O'Neil, the founder of Posten Design Systems, Inc., the family entrusted the program source code to Dennis Reilly, S.E. (an old friend and former employee, who worked in the early development of the suite of programs). In partnership with Scott Johnson, S.E., Posten Engineering Systems was formed in 2004 to take this excellent suite of programs into a new era of growth. Mr. Reilly is a California Registered Structural Engineer with over 31 years of experience designing building structures. Mr. Reilly's association with Posten dates back to when Mr. Reilly, as a young engineer, helped develop enhancements to the Posten suite of programs. Mr. Reilly is very proud to be entrusted by the O'Neil family to carry on the tradition of developing the very best engineering solutions available. Mr. Johnson is a California Registered Structural Engineer with over 8 years of experience designing building structures . Mr. Johnson's ability to adjust to extremely challenging engineering problems with precision, while creating innovative solutions, made him a natural choice to co-develop the next era of Posten. He is also an ICC Certified Plans Examiner. Acknowledgements - Etabs is a public domain computer program produced at the University of California, Berkeley, by E.L. Wilson, J.P. Hollings and H.H.
